In May, Sony officially announced that it had reached a joint agreement and deal with the management of the Discord app, and that the app would be available across PlayStation devices and the PlayStation app on smartphones at the beginning of last year, and it appears that the process of bringing Discord to PlayStation devices has begun in the back.
While searching within the popular app's database, a group of Discord users found the PlayStation Network icon alongside others like Twitch and Steam, allowing players to link their PSN accounts to the service. Once that's done, friends will be able to see what games you're playing right now on your PlayStation, or even invite players directly to games through the service.
While this won't allow PlayStation players to use the app on the same platform, the presence of the same option certainly indicates some work in the back, and the app could be available across PlayStation devices sooner than we expect.
